Meet Harriet Jacobster, AuD, CMT, CFAS, CHC
Dr. Harriet Jacobster, AuD, has been working with the senior population for 40 years as an Audiologist. She obtained her Doctor of Audiology Degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2000. Her specialties are tinnitus and cognition.
After the Covid pandemic and the shift to healthier lifestyles, Dr. Jacobster decided to shift her focus to include more physical and general health training. To help her in that goal, she became a Certified Health Coach in 2022 from the National Society of Health Coaches and then a Certified Master Trainer in 2023 from the International Sports Sciences Association with Specialist Certifications in Senior Fitness, Nutrition, Exercise Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, and Corrective Exercise. She is also a Certified Functional Aging Specialist which she obtained from the Functional Aging Institute. She also holds Certifications as an Instructor in Mat Pilates, Yoga, Rebounding, and Mindfulness Meditation. In 2024, she became a Certified Silver Sneakers Instructor with a specialty certification in Stability and Fall Prevention.
Currently, she is going for Certification in Tai Chi and Comprehensive Pilates. Her goal is to be able to present a “Whole-Mind-Body-Spirt” Wellness Program for Seniors so they may live long, healthy, and functional lives.
Dr. Jacobster is passionate about this goal as she is now a Senior herself. She understands – and experiences herself – the particular needs of Seniors both physically, cognitively, and emotionally.
When Dr. Jacobster is not helping the hearing-impaired community, she spends her time working out in her home gym and playing with her best friend, Gingy, her special-needs Therapy Dog. She is very active with Veterans, helping them with their Disability Claims.
Her hobbies include Photography, Feeding and Watching Birds, Raising Monarch Butterflies, and keeping her mind active by learning new things every day
